Jenny Bernieri PT, DPT

Jenny Bernieri, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), earned her degree from the University of Miami with honors. While there she was a teaching assistant for neuroscience courses and labs. She graduated with highest honors (summa cum laude) from the University of Pittsburgh earning a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Rehabilitation Science as well as a certificate in Pathokinesiology. For four years she worked as a research assistant in regenerative medicine in the Clinical Translation and Rehabilitation Laboratory housed at the University of Pittsburgh’s Medical Center. Pursuing her passion for neuroscience while still an undergraduate, she has also conducted psychological research administrating EEG’s and uncovering their relationship to language comprehension and production.

Dr. Bernieri is an award winning scientist, receiving the Steven J. Memorial Award for excellence and promise in research. Her research investigating early mobility in ICU patients with suffering from neurological diseases was presented recently at annual meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association. Her research on the effects of autologous (adult) stem cell transplantation and tissue regeneration was published in the Pittsburgh Orthopedic Journal.

She has worked with vestibular, concussion, and orthopedic patients in New Jersey and Salt Lake City, as well as locally. She is experienced in treating patients with ailments ranging from post-operative ACL repair and rotator cuff tears to vertigo and balance disorders. She has taken numerous continuing education courses in vestibular evaluation and treatment, and continues to be receptive to new information in the field. Her favorite thing about the vestibular specialty is how greatly patients can benefit from PT interventions.
